A Clyde North man has been charged with murder following the devastating death of his partner in Melbourne's south-east on Sunday night. The accused, Jorden Turney, 32, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Monday, facing allegations he murdered a 29-year-old woman at their shared residence.

Emergency services were urgently called to a home on Generation Drive at approximately 6:30 PM on Sunday. Paramedics discovered the woman suffering critical injuries. She was rushed to The Alfred Hospital, but tragically succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

The quiet residential street in Clyde North became a scene of profound grief on Monday afternoon as close friends of the victim gathered outside the house. They laid flowers in tribute and shared tearful embraces, expressing their shock and sorrow at the sudden loss. Several friends openly described Mr. Turney as a "monster," struggling to comprehend the circumstances that allegedly led to their friend's death, describing it as a devastating instance of domestic violence.
