Five seriously injured in crash at Forest Lakes in Brisbane’s south
Multiple individuals have sustained serious injuries in a collision involving two vehicles in the southern part of Brisbane.
Investigating Speed as a Possible Factor
The Queensland Police are currently investigating the incident, focusing on the speed of the vehicles involved. The crash occurred at approximately 10:10 pm on Saturday when a Mercedes-Benz traveling south along Forest Lake Boulevard collided with a Toyota LandCruiser at the intersection of Renoir Crescent in the suburb of Forest Lake.
Extent of Injuries
As a result of the collision, five people were severely injured. The 28-year-old male driver of the Mercedes-Benz, along with his two 22-year-old male passengers and a 20-year-old woman, were all immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Additionally, the 52-year-old woman driving the LandCruiser was also taken to the hospital and is presently in a serious condition.
Continuing Investigations
The Forensic Crash Unit is conducting ongoing investigations into the crash. Their efforts will specifically determine whether excessive speed played a role in the incident.
