Nick Sanchez Joins Spire Motorsports for Craftsman Truck Series Debut at Indianapolis Raceway Park

Rising star Nick Sanchez is set to make his highly anticipated 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season debut, taking the wheel of the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet at Indianapolis Raceway Park this weekend. This will be Sanchez’s first Truck Series appearance of the year, signaling an exciting new chapter for the young driver.

Sanchez’s journey through the current racing season has been dynamic, to say the least. Following an unexpected split from Big Machine Racing during the off-season, he initially began the year with AM Racing. However, a restructuring within that team led him to secure a series of starts with Peterson Racing, helping him maintain a presence in NASCAR’s O’Reilly Series. While he has been actively competing in a part-time capacity, his start at IRP marks his first foray into the Truck Series this season.

He boasts 47 previous NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts, including two impressive victories at Daytona and Charlotte during the 2024 season. His previous outings at Indianapolis Raceway Park have also been strong, with finishes of 11th and 10th in past Truck Series events. Furthermore, Sanchez is a proven winner in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series, having claimed a victory at Atlanta last year.

The No. 77 entry for Spire Motorsports has been a flexible platform this season, accommodating a diverse roster of talented drivers. The team has seen Carson Hocevar, Parker Kligerman, team co-owner Justin Marks, Jesse Love, and Connor Zilisch all pilot the truck at various points.
