A 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life after an alleged botched arson attack in Melbourne's north-west left him with burns to almost his entire body. The boy's sister is now pleading with Victorian children to resist cash offers to commit crimes.
The teenager was among a group of people allegedly involved in the firebombing of two cars on Monday morning, which backfired when the boy himself caught fire. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Royal Children's Hospital, where he has already undergone a 12-hour skin graft surgery.
