Quad Bike Crash Claims Second Life in Two Days on Victoria-NSW Border
A 42-year-old man has died after a quad bike crash on Huon Creek Road, south of Wodonga, on Monday evening. A 20-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving causing death in connection with the incident.
A tragic accident on the Victoria-NSW border has claimed the life of a 42-year-old man, marking the second quad bike-related death in the region in as many days.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Huon Creek Road, south of Wodonga, on Monday evening just after 8pm. The man was riding a quad bike when he crashed and sustained critical injuries.
He was taken to hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. Police have confirmed that a report is being prepared for the coroner, and WorkSafe Victoria has been notified.
Investigation Underway
New South Wales Police have alleged that the victim was being towed by a quad bike at the time of the accident, when he struck a goal post.
A 20-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving causing death. He is scheduled to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
