A new museum dedicated to the history of Vietnamese-Australians has opened in Melbourne, marking a significant milestone for the community. The Vietnamese Museum Australia, located in Sunshine, was officially opened on Saturday with bipartisan support from the federal and Victorian governments.
The museum's chief executive, Tammy Nguyen, said the centre was a living monument to those who courageously left their homeland behind, seeking freedom and a better future.
