Eddie Perfect is taking a satirical look at modern society with his latest show, a black comedy adaptation of Molière's 17th-century play Tartuffe. The production, set to premiere at Melbourne's Malthouse Theatre, reimagines the classic tale with a hairdressing AI robot as the charlatan.
Perfect, who will also star in the show as Orgon, says he was drawn to the idea of updating the play to explore the intersection of technology and humanity.
