New Lineup Announced for KIIS FM Breakfast Program

A new trio has been announced to take over the popular breakfast program on KIIS FM in Sydney, following the departure of long-time co-presenters Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.

Television personality Chris Brown, occasional KIIS fill-in host Amy Gerard, and former Nova star Jack Charles will begin broadcasting on November 9. The announcement was made by ARN chief executive Michael Stephenson, who said the revamped line-up had been designed to deliver big names and fresh talent.

“We have the biggest radio brand in the country, and we now have a team that is building something very special for listeners,” he said.

For Chris Brown, getting the job is a “dream come true”. “Waking up with the city I love and bringing a huge dose of real life, warmth and (hopefully) humour is truly a dream come true,” he said.

Amy Gerard, already familiar to the station’s listeners, said the new partnership was off to an auspicious start. “The chemistry between Chris, Jack and I already feels so natural. It’s fun, unpredictable,” she said. “There’s a very good chance we’ll be completely unhinged before most people have had their first coffee.”

Jack Charles said he was “pumped” to be joining the program after announcing his resignation from Nova earlier in September.

The new team is the first of two to be announced, with another team to replace the outgoing hosts’ broadcast in Melbourne to be revealed soon.
