Melbourne has emerged as the sole undefeated team after six rounds of the AFLW season, following a commanding 34-point victory over Carlton at Casey Fields. However, the Demons may face a significant cost for their win after star forward Georgia Gall suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter.

The Demons secured an 8.10 (58) to 3.6 (24) win, with midfielder Olivia Purcell playing a pivotal role in the team's success, gathering 26 disposals and kicking two goals. Jorja Livingstone also made a notable impact, scoring on her debut in the final quarter. Tyla Hanks contributed 32 disposals and one goal, but her performance was overshadowed by Gall's injury.

Carlton midfielder Claudia Whitfort had a busy game with 24 disposals, but the Blues' second consecutive loss dents their top-four aspirations. The Demons' win propels them to the top of the ladder with a 6-0 record.

Cats Record Fifth Straight Win

Geelong has recorded its fifth consecutive win, defeating Collingwood 14.6 (90) to 7.7 (49) at Victoria Park. Aishling Moloney scored a goal-of-the-year contender, and the Cats' midfielders Nina Morrison (30 disposals), Mikayla Bowen (29 disposals), and Georgie Prespakis (12 clearances) were prolific in the victory.

The Magpies, who remain winless, were level with the Cats at the main break but struggled in the third quarter, allowing Geelong to take a 31-point lead into the final break. Chloe Scheer scored four goals for the Cats, while Olivia Lewis booted a goal on her AFLW debut for the Magpies.

Swans Move Clear in Top Four

Sydney has secured a 14-point victory over Port Adelaide, with Chloe Molloy booting three goals in a stellar performance. The Swans' midfielder Zippy Fish gathered 26 disposals, while Montana Ham had 16 possessions.

The Power's midfielder Abbey Dowrick had a match-high 27 disposals and 415 metres gained, but the Swans' win moved them four points clear of the fifth-placed Blues.

Triumphant Bulldogs

The Western Bulldogs have claimed a 6.4 (40) to 4.6 (30) victory over Fremantle, with defender Jess Fitzgerald gathering 25 disposals. Midfielder Isabelle Pritchard had 21 disposals and a goal for the Bulldogs.

The Dockers' midfielder Kiara Bowers had 23 disposals, eight tackles, and one goal, but the Bulldogs' win moved them up to seventh on the ladder.
