Hawks' 11-point AFLW win over Bulldogs soured by leg injury for Emily Bates

Hawthorn has secured an 11-point win over the Western Bulldogs in a match marred by injuries to key players Emily Bates and Laura Stone.

The Hawks' captain, Emily Bates, was taken off the field on a stretcher at the Kennedy Community Centre after her right leg twisted underneath her in a tackle late in the third quarter.
