Isaac Heeney has finished outside the top five in the Brownlow Medal count, polling 26 votes. Heeney was one of five Swans players stood down by the club following a post-match incident in Melbourne last month.

Nick Daicos has won the Brownlow Medal with a record-breaking 47 votes. The AFL had a contingency plan in place if Heeney had won the game's highest individual honour, but it never needed to come into play due to Daicos's dominant performance.

Heeney, along with Swans teammates Chad Warner and Nick Blakey, were among the notable absences from Monday night's awards ceremony. They were stood down for breaching club standards following a post-match incident at the Pullman Hotel in East Melbourne.
