Police are investigating a reported shooting in Melbourne's north-west that may be linked to an earlier road rage incident. Emergency services were called to Tullamarine just after 3pm after reports of a collision between two vehicles and gunshots.

No injuries have been reported. Investigators believe the incident occurred after an earlier road rage incident involving the occupants of an Isuzu utility and a Hyundai SUV.

Police said the victims in the Isuzu made their way to Broadmeadows Police Station, while the alleged offenders ditched the Hyundai and fled in a getaway vehicle.

Police have established two crime scenes, one on May Street and one on Dawson Street.

Aerial footage shows the white Hyundai appears to have been crashed and abandoned, with detectives on the scene collecting evidence.
