The Suns, one of the more inexperienced sides in the league, recorded a 7.9 (51) to 1.4 (10) win, marking their third consecutive victory and moving them into fifth spot, just four points behind second-placed defending champions North Melbourne.
Resolute Defence Key to Victory
Gold Coast's defence was resolute in blustery conditions, with the Bombers not scoring a point until late in the second quarter. The visitors dominated territory and snagged three goals courtesy of players all aged under 21.
