In this afternoon's other AFLW matches, Carlton won 8.11 (59) to 4.8 (32) against the Sydney Swans, with Nell Morris-Dalton kicking a career-high four goals. Hawthorn triumphed over the Brisbane Lions, 9.11 (65) to 6.4 (40).
The Blues' win was sparked by Morris-Dalton's four goals, while Darcy Vescio kicked two goals. However, Carlton will sweat on the availability of skipper Abbie McKay, who limped off with an ankle injury in the second half.
Hawthorn's victory was fueled by Aine McDonagh's three goals from 20 disposals. Former Lion Kaitlyn Ashmore celebrated her 100th AFLW match with a stunning set-shot from the boundary-line pocket in the second quarter.
The results ensure the Kangaroos finish the round on top of the ladder, while Fremantle slipped out of the top eight. Fifth-placed Carlton is just 1.7 per cent adrift of fourth-placed Gold Coast, and Hawthorn moved into eighth spot.
